Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope – Eye Camps 2021
Muazzam Trust and As-Salaam Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and sponsors for their kind and generous contributions. Together, we successfully raised £20,000 to fund two life-changing eye camps held in February and October 2021.
Impact at a Glance
With these funds, we were able to:
-
Conduct detailed examinations for 1,089 OPD patients.
-
Identify and refer 274 individuals for cataract operations, scheduled to take place over the coming weeks.
-
Cover 100% of the costs, including examinations, doctors’ fees, medication, and surgeries — ensuring that no patient had to bear a financial burden.
Changing Lives Through Sight
The gift of restored vision is immeasurable. For many patients, untreated cataracts mean the loss of independence, livelihood, and dignity. One patient expressed their gratitude with these heartfelt words:
“I am so thankful that the only breadwinner in our household will be able to continue to support us after his surgery…”
This simple yet powerful testimony reflects the far-reaching impact of your donations — not only restoring sight, but also safeguarding families from the cycle of poverty that often follows disability.
A Brighter Tomorrow
Thanks to your generosity, hundreds of families now look forward to a future where their loved ones can see again, work again, and live with renewed hope. These eye camps were not just about treating vision; they were about restoring lives.
We pray that Allah rewards every donor, volunteer, and partner involved in this noble effort, and we look forward to continuing this vital work together.
