Situation in Pakistan

Several factors contribute to the need for Ramadan food packs in Pakistan. Many families are facing economic hardships. Ramadan food packs provide essential food items to those who may struggle to afford nutritious meals during the month of fasting. In addition, the cost of food items has risen due to inflation and increased demand, this can be particularly challenging for low-income families. Our food packs will help alleviate the financial burden by providing necessary items at no cost to our beneficiaries. Finally, some individuals, such as widows, orphans, and those with disabilities, face additional difficulties during Ramadan. Food packs will be distributed to specific vulnerable groups to ensure they have enough to eat.

Situation in Sri Lanka

During Ramadan in Sri Lanka, many poor families struggle to afford basic food due to ongoing economic challenges, high inflation, and job insecurity. As a result, countless households—especially in rural and urban low-income areas—are forced to skip meals, rely on less nutritious food, or go hungry altogether, making it extremely difficult to observe the fasting month with dignity. The crisis has hit the elderly, single mothers, and children the hardest, as rising prices continue to outpace incomes and local support systems remain overstretched.

Benefits of Donating Food Packs

Ramadan is a time when communities come together to support one another. Providing food packs fosters a sense of solidarity, where those who are more fortunate contribute to the well-being of those who are less fortunate. This initiative aims to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can observe Ramadan with dignity and without hunger. Poverty and hunger can cause immense suffering. Providing food helps alleviate some of this suffering by ensuring that individuals and families have the sustenance they need for their well-being.

These packs have provided enough nutritional food for a family of 4/5 for the entire month of Ramadan.
