Thanks to the generosity of our donors, As-Salaam Humanitarian Foundation has successfully completed our Back-to-School Gaza Appeal, providing 500 vulnerable and displaced children with essential educational supplies to help them continue their learning despite the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
For children in Gaza, education offers more than knowledge. It represents hope, stability and the possibility of a brighter future. Sadly, displacement, poverty and the destruction caused by conflict have left many families unable to afford even the most basic school supplies.
Working alongside our delivery partner, we successfully distributed 500 comprehensive educational kits, each containing a durable school backpack, 20 exercise books, pens, pencils, mathematical equipment, colouring supplies, drawing materials, a lunch box and other essential stationery.
Together, we achieved:
- 500 children equipped with educational supplies.
- 500 school backpacks distributed.
- 10,000 exercise books provided.
- 6,000 pencils and 2,500 pens distributed.
- 500 complete educational kits, containing supplies intended to support a full academic year.
Kefaya’s Story
Previously, we shared the heartbreaking story of Kefaya, a single mother of three in Gaza, who was struggling to provide her children with basic school essentials amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Alhamdulillah, thanks to the generosity of our donors, As-Salaam Humanitarian Foundation has now provided all three of Kefaya’s children with Back-to-School Packs, containing essential educational supplies to support their learning. This means one less worry for Kefaya and an opportunity for her children to focus on their education, regain a sense of normality and look towards a brighter future despite the challenges surrounding them.

The project successfully achieved 100% of its distribution target, helping reduce the financial burden on struggling families while giving children the essential tools to participate in their education with greater confidence and dignity.
