A Thousand Meals Appeal for Gaza
Current Situation
Families across Gaza continue to face unimaginable hardship as ongoing displacement, severe food shortages and rising prices leave thousands struggling to access even the most basic necessities.
Many displaced families are living in overcrowded shelters and makeshift camps, without access to functioning kitchens, cooking fuel or clean water. For vulnerable children, elderly people and struggling parents, securing a single nutritious meal has become a daily challenge.
What Has As-Salaam Achieved?
Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of our donors, As-Salaam Humanitarian Foundation has successfully completed and closed its A Thousand Meals Appeal for Gaza, providing 2,075 freshly cooked hot meals to displaced and vulnerable families.
Originally launched with the ambition of providing 1,000 meals, the appeal exceeded its target, reaching more than twice the original goal.
Working alongside our delivery partners on the ground, nutritious meals consisting of seasoned rice and fresh halal meat were prepared and distributed to families living in informal camps and shelters across southern and central Gaza.
For families who have lost their homes, livelihoods and access to basic cooking facilities, these meals provided much-needed nourishment, temporary relief from hunger and reassurance that they have not been forgotten.
