Bringing Safety, Dignity, and Hope to Families in Punjab
Across Punjab, millions of families continue to face inadequate housing conditions. Many rural homes are constructed from mud, thatch, bamboo, or unbaked bricks, leaving families vulnerable to harsh weather, flooding, and extreme temperatures. For those living in poverty, the dream of a safe and secure home often remains out of reach.
Through our Taraqqi Housing Appeal, generous donors helped transform the lives of vulnerable families by providing safe, durable housing and essential community infrastructure.
What We Achieved
Alhamdulillah, with the support of our donors, we successfully constructed 15 new homes in:

These homes were built to provide families with protection, stability, and a foundation for a brighter future. More than simply constructing houses, this project focused on creating a sustainable community where families can live with dignity and security.
A Sustainable Community
The development included:
- 15 safe and secure family homes
- A solar-powered water well generously donated by a supporter, providing reliable access to clean water
- A shared vegetable patch, enabling families to grow fresh produce and improve household food security
- Improved living conditions designed to support long-term wellbeing and resilience
More Than a House
The word Taraqqi means progress, and this project embodied that vision. By providing safe housing alongside access to water and opportunities for self-sufficiency, families gained more than shelter—they gained hope, stability, and a pathway towards a better future.
For many beneficiaries, this was the first time they had lived in a home capable of withstanding seasonal rains and extreme weather conditions. Children now have a safer environment to grow up in, while parents can focus on supporting their families without the constant worry of unsafe housing.
