“The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate (Sahih Bukhari).
The Journey – A Mission Fulfilled
Alhamdulillah, Sacred Dreams: Umrah for Gaza’s Young Hearts was a truly transformative and successful initiative by As-Salaam Foundation. By the will of Allah, we were able to take 50 orphaned children from Jordan to Makkah on this sacred journey—giving them an experience that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
These children, many of whom have endured the pain of war, displacement, and loss, were given a rare opportunity to step away from hardship and stand before the Kaaba. In the holiest of places, they found moments of peace, healing, and connection with Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
Why It Mattered
For these young hearts, this was far more than a journey—it was a turning point.
Healing Through Faith:
Within the sacred precincts of the Haram, the children raised their hands in dua, releasing the pain they carried and finding comfort in the remembrance of Allah.
Inspiring Resilience:
They experienced the unity of the ummah, realising they are not forgotten. This journey reignited hope and reminded them that their future holds promise.
Spiritual Growth:
Their connection with Allah was strengthened, nurturing their hearts and giving them the inner strength to face life’s challenges with renewed ایمان.
A Lasting Impact
What began as an appeal became a reality that changed lives. The smiles on their faces, the tears in their duas, and the sense of peace they experienced are a testament to what your support made possible.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“I and the caretaker of the orphan will be in Paradise like this,” holding his two fingers close together.
Through your generosity, you have not only supported these children—you have invested in your akhirah.
Looking Ahead
Building on this success, As-Salaam Foundation looks forward to continuing this blessed work, creating more opportunities for vulnerable children to experience healing through faith.
May Allah accept it from all of us, reward you abundantly, and grant you the highest ranks in Jannah.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together."
